The Mexican Riviera

If the name Mexican Riviera is not familiar to you, you might know it better as Puerto Vallarta. This area, located on the coast of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean side, has a marina that is always filled with boats. Often there are also million dollar yachts docked here and sail boats from around the world who come here for a vacation in the sun and warm sand beaches. Also around this marina is where you can enjoy five star restaurants and boutiques offering fine things from nearby cultures.

When this area became a popular location for visitors, another marina had to be created to meet the demands of so many people arriving by sea. Today, there is a third under construction to handle even more visitors. Fishing is a popular activity here with deep sea fishing charters going out all the time.

These fishermen go out to catch Marlin and it is not uncommon to see two-hundred pound Marlins being brought back. Fishing is great here but the scenery from offshore is fantastic. From out there you can see the Sierra Madres mountains as a picturesque backdrop to the town of Puerto Vallarta. Be sure to bring your camera as there are many scenic locations for taking fabulous pictures.
